First and foremost, I am a mom. My family is my priority. I have three kids and a wonderful husband. The responsibility I have for my children's well-being motivates me to ensure they have the best education possible.
I own my own data migration and programming business. I am very fortunate. I have developed this business model to allow me to stay at home with my children and do work during hours when my children are at school, asleep or otherwise involved in extra curricular activities.
Before establishing my own business, I worked for various local companies doing database consulting and project management. I have a B.S in Mathematics from BYU.
My two older children are currently enrolled at our local district school. Previously I have home schooled them. I was involved in founding Lincoln Academy Charter School. I also served as the Legislative VP in our PTA.
As you can tell from my background, I have been very involved in "education" though my life. My husband and I believe in providing the best educational experiences for our children. We support public, charter, private, and home schooling experiences. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Alpine School District is a good district...but it could be great. Our potential has not been realized, but could be with a little effort. We have it all: dedicated teachers, good students, supportive families. What we need is a strategy of combining these elements together to take advantage of our strengths. "Good" is not good enough when the potential is so much more. I look forward to serving you.
